Compression molded magnets combine isotropic NdFeB powder with a thermosetting binder. The process is suited to regular geometries and is documented by SDM for products including thin-walled ring magnets.
These isotropic magnets can be magnetized in different directions. Surface treatment may be required for corrosion protection depending on the operating environment.
